"Luminous strands of silver vocalism"
—Parterre Box
"A voice of both power and beauty."
—Operawire
With a voice that has been described as "plush" by The New York Times, soprano Jessica Sandidge will make role debuts as Manon Lescaut this season with Opera Festival of Chicago and Susannah with Delaware Valley Opera. As Marie in Donizetti's La Fille du Régiment with Sarasota Opera, The Herald Tribune described, “Sandidge has a voice you could listen to all day as she negotiates florid coloratura with great ease.” Other credits include the role of Hanna Glawari in The Merry Widow with Musica Viva in Hong Kong, and Elle in La Voix Humaine in a live performance recorded on a green screen, which was later screened at a movie theater in North Hollywood. No matter the role, Jessica digs down to find the core of her characters to bring their emotional reality to life in performance.
